Rave the Planet ist eine gro\u00dfe Parade f\u00fcr elektronische Musik, die jedes Jahr in Berlin stattfindet. Gegr\u00fcndet von Techno-Pionier Dr. Motte, setzt sie das Erbe der legend\u00e4ren Love Parade fort und steht f\u00fcr elektronische Musikkultur, Zusammenhalt und freie Meinungs\u00e4u\u00dferung. Sie verbindet Stra\u00dfenfest, Demonstration und Open-Air-Rave und zieht Hunderttausende Teilnehmer aus ganz Europa und dar\u00fcber hinaus an.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The parade takes place in summer, in recent years between July and August. In 2026 it was held on Saturday 15 August from 14:00 to 22:00 on Stra\u00dfe des 17. Juni, looping from the Brandenburg Gate around the Victory Column at the Gro\u00dfer Stern and back, with around 25 music trucks (\u201cfloats\u201d) and more than 300 DJs and artists; the organisers registered 300,000 participants. The date of the 2027 parade had not yet been announced in October 2026. The event is free to attend and open to everyone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bei Rave the Planet dreht sich alles um Techno und elektronische Musik. Auf Dutzenden von Festwagen treten bekannte und unbekannte DJs auf. Die Teilnehmer tanzen entlang der sich bewegenden B\u00fchnen und sorgen so f\u00fcr eine durchgehende Party in der ganzen Stadt. Die Atmosph\u00e4re ist inklusiv und ausdrucksstark, und viele Teilnehmer tragen bunte, kreative oder avantgardistische Outfits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beyond the parade itself, Berlin\u2019s club scene plays a major role during the event. Numerous afterparties and club nights take place across the city, especially in famous venues such as Berghain and Sisyphos, extending the celebration into the night and following days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Von der Love Parade zum Rave the Planet<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Die urspr\u00fcngliche Love Parade fand erstmals 1989 in Berlin statt, organisiert von Dr. Motte. Was als kleine Demonstration f\u00fcr Frieden, Liebe und elektronische Musik begann, entwickelte sich schnell zu einer der gr\u00f6\u00dften Musikveranstaltungen der Welt. Auf ihrem H\u00f6hepunkt in den sp\u00e4ten 1990er und fr\u00fchen 2000er Jahren zog die Love Parade \u00fcber eine Million Teilnehmer an.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rave the Planet was launched in 2022 by Dr. Motte as a spiritual successor to Love Parade. While it follows the same core concept\u2014music trucks, dancing crowds, and a parade through Berlin\u2014it also has a stronger focus on cultural recognition and preservation of electronic music. Following an application by Rave the Planet, Berlin\u2019s techno culture was added to Germany\u2019s national inventory of intangible cultural heritage in 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
