Spaccanapoli is the most famous street in the historic centre of Naples, in the south of Italy. Its name means \u201cNaples splitter\u201d, because it runs in a long straight line and seems to cut the old city in two. The street follows a road built by the ancient Greeks, who founded the city more than 2,500 years ago. Together with the parallel street Via dei Tribunali and many small lanes, it forms the heart of the old town. The historic centre of Naples has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1995.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
