Die 1998 er\u00f6ffnete Br\u00fccke l\u00f6ste die \u00f6rtlichen F\u00e4hren als wichtigste Stra\u00dfenverbindung zwischen den beiden Ufern ab und machte die Tempel und Gr\u00e4ber des Westufers mit dem Auto viel leichter erreichbar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Die Br\u00fccke bietet einen sch\u00f6nen Blick auf den Nil, der hier recht breit ist, mit Palmenhainen und Feldern an beiden Ufern und den thebanischen Bergen am westlichen Horizont. In der N\u00e4he der Br\u00fccke liegen mehrere Kreuzfahrtschiffe am Ufer; Luxor ist Start- oder Zielpunkt der meisten Nilkreuzfahrten nach Assuan, die meist drei bis vier N\u00e4chte dauern.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The bridge is mainly used by road traffic, so most visitors cross it by taxi, minibus or tour bus on the way to the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Hatshepsut or the Colossi of Memnon.
