{"id":9234,"date":"2023-01-11T20:24:15","date_gmt":"2023-01-11T18:24:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dotonmap.com\/?p=9234"},"modified":"2026-09-28T20:15:03","modified_gmt":"2026-09-28T20:15:03","slug":"chateau-de-neuschwanstein","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dotonmap.com\/fr\/germany\/bavaria\/neuschwanstein\/","title":{"rendered":"Ch\u00e2teau de Neuschwanstein, Allemagne"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Le ch\u00e2teau de Neuschwanstein<\/strong> (Schloss Neuschwanstein) is the fairytale castle that King Ludwig II of Bavaria began building in 1869 on a rocky ridge above the P\u00f6llat Gorge near F\u00fcssen, in southern Bavaria, Germany. Its name means \u201cNew Swan Stone\u201d, a nod to the Swan Knight of Wagner\u2019s operas, which the king adored. The castle was never finished: Ludwig spent only a few months there, and it opened to visitors in 1886, just weeks after his death. Neuschwanstein inspired Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland, and since 2025 it has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site together with Ludwig\u2019s other palaces: Linderhof, Herrenchiemsee and the King\u2019s House on Schachen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The castle is one of Germany\u2019s most popular sights, with around 1.4 million visitors a year and up to 6,000 a day in summer. It can only be visited on a guided tour, so it is highly recommended to buy tickets in advance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Comment s'y rendre<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Depuis Munich en train :<\/strong> The regional train to F\u00fcssen takes about 2 hours. From F\u00fcssen station, buses 73 and 78 run to the \u201cHohenschwangau, Neuschwanstein Castles\u201d stop in about 10 minutes. A Bayern-Ticket or a Deutschlandticket covers both the train and the bus.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>En voiture :<\/strong> Hohenschwangau is about 120 km from Munich (around 1.5\u20132 hours). There are several paid car parks in the village; private cars are not allowed up to the castle.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Mont\u00e9e au ch\u00e2teau\u00a0:<\/strong> Walk 30\u201340 minutes (1.5 km) up a steep paved road, take the shuttle bus (\u20ac3.50 one way, \u20ac5 return), which stops near the Marienbr\u00fccke, a 10\u201315-minute walk above the castle, or ride a horse-drawn carriage (\u20ac8 uphill, \u20ac4 downhill), which stops about 450 m below the castle.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Visite du ch\u00e2teau<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Billets :<\/strong> Admission is \u20ac21 (\u20ac20 reduced); under-18s enter free. Tickets are sold online in advance (plus a \u20ac2.50 booking fee per ticket, including free children\u2019s tickets) or, subject to availability, at the Ticket Center in Hohenschwangau, not at the castle itself. Each ticket is for a fixed tour time; the guided tour of 14 rooms lasts about 30 minutes, with audio guides in 16 other languages. The castle is open daily (9:00\u201318:00 from late March to mid-October, 10:00\u201316:00 in winter) except 24, 25 and 31 December and 1 January. Photography is not allowed inside.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Vues ext\u00e9rieures\u00a0:<\/strong> The castle is stunning from the outside. The classic photo viewpoint is the Marienbr\u00fccke (Queen Mary\u2019s Bridge), a suspension bridge over the P\u00f6llat Gorge; it may be closed in winter because of ice and snow. Forest paths around the castle offer further views of the Alpsee and Schwansee lakes, Hohenschwangau Castle and the town of F\u00fcssen.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Am\u00e9nagements :<\/strong> Il y a une petite boutique de souvenirs et un caf\u00e9 pr\u00e8s du ch\u00e2teau, et d'autres restaurants et magasins au pied de la montagne.
