Larvotto Beach is the main public beach of the Principality of Monaco, in the Larvotto district east of Monte Carlo, close to the French border. Monaco has very little natural coastline, so this artificial beach is the principality’s main place for a swim in the sea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The beach was completely rebuilt to plans by the architect Renzo Piano and reopened in July 2021. Together with its promenade it now covers about 14,000 m\u00b2 of sandy seafront, and breakwaters keep the water calm. The seabed slopes gently, and in July and August the sea often reaches 24–26 \u00b0C.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La spiaggia pubblica \u00e8 gratuita ed \u00e8 riservata ai non fumatori. Nella stagione estiva ci sono i bagnini, oltre a docce, servizi igienici e un\u2019area Handiplage attrezzata per persone con disabilit\u00e0 o mobilit\u00e0 ridotta. Diversi stabilimenti privati lungo la riva noleggiano lettini e ombrelloni e hanno i propri ristoranti.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A pedestrian promenade with restaurants, caf\u00e9s and shops runs behind the beach. The Grimaldi Forum and the Japanese Garden are a short walk away, and city buses link Larvotto with Monte Carlo and Monaco’s railway station.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
