The Stuttgart Spring Festival (Stuttgarter Fr\u00fchlingsfest) takes place annually in Stuttgart, Germany, on the large fairground known as Cannstatter Wasen. It is usually held from mid-April to early May and lasts about three weeks, making it one of the largest spring festivals in Europe. Often called the \u201clittle brother\u201d of the famous Cannstatter Volksfest, the Fr\u00fchlingsfest attracts well over a million visitors each year. The 87th edition will run from 17 April to 9 May 2027.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Entrance to the Stuttgart Spring Festival grounds is free, and visitors can walk around the fair without buying a ticket. However, individual attractions require payment. Prices vary depending on the ride: smaller attractions usually cost around \u20ac3\u2013\u20ac5, while larger rides such as roller coasters or giant swings typically cost \u20ac6\u2013\u20ac12 per ride. Table reservations in the beer tents should be booked in advance, especially for evenings and weekends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La festa offre tantissime attrazioni: montagne russe, ruote panoramiche, torri a caduta libera, case del divertimento e giostre per famiglie. Uno dei momenti clou \u00e8 la grande ruota panoramica, con vista su Stoccarda e sui vigneti circostanti. Oltre alle giostre ci sono grandi tendoni che servono birra dei birrifici di Stoccarda, piatti tedeschi come salsicce, brezel e arrosti, musica dal vivo e spettacoli.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Visiting Fr\u00fchlingsfest<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The festival grounds are easily accessible from Stuttgart city center. Stadtbahn line U11 (weekends and holidays) and U19 (weekdays) run directly to the Cannstatter Wasen stop, about 10\u201315 minutes from the central station (Stuttgart Hauptbahnhof), while lines U1, U2, U13 and U16 stop at nearby Mercedesstra\u00dfe. S-Bahn lines S1, S2 and S3 serve Bad Cannstatt station, less than 10 minutes on foot from the fairground. Thanks to its central location and good transport connections, the Stuttgart Spring Festival is one of the most convenient large-scale events to visit in southern Germany.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
