The palace is famous for hosting Christopher Columbus upon his return from America in 1493. The square also houses the Museum of the History of Barcelona.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Pla\u00e7a Sant Jaume<\/strong> \u2013 A small square adjacent to the cathedral, featuring two medieval palaces:
