The Zurich Street Parade takes place in Zurich, along the shores of Lake Zurich and the surrounding city center. The event route runs between Bellevue and Hafendamm Enge, offering scenic views of the lake and the Alps. The city is easily accessible by train, tram, and bus, and during the parade, public transport operates with extended schedules to accommodate the large number of visitors.

The festival began in 1992 and has grown into one of the largest techno and electronic music events in the world, regularly attracting over 900,000 to 1 million participants. Inspired by Berlin’s Love Parade, it features dozens of “Love Mobiles” (moving stages with DJs), multiple stationary stages, and a strong focus on themes such as love, peace, freedom, and tolerance. The parade combines music, dance, and vibrant costumes, turning the entire lakeside into an open-air celebration.

The Zurich Street Parade takes place annually in August, usually on the second Saturday of the month. In 2026, it is expected to be held on 8 August 2026, with the main parade and performances lasting throughout the day and into the night.
