Spiaggia Grande<\/strong> is the principal beach of Positano, a town located on the Amalfi Coast in the Campania region of southern Italy. Situated at the foot of Positano\u2019s steep hillside and directly below the Church of Santa Maria Assunta, the beach forms the town\u2019s central waterfront and serves as its main point of maritime access. Owing to its location and panoramic setting, Spiaggia Grande is considered one of the most recognizable beaches in Italy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Positano beach stretches along a relatively wide arc at the base of the town and is composed mainly of dark volcanic sand mixed with fine pebbles. The seabed slopes gradually, and the water is typically clear, with colors ranging from turquoise to deep blue depending on light and weather conditions.
