\u585e\u91cc\u96c5\u5170\u7011\u5e03<\/strong> is a waterfall located in southern Iceland along the country\u2019s Ring Road (Route 1), approximately 120 km southeast of Reykjav\u00edk and about 30 km west of the town of V\u00edk. It lies beneath the former coastline cliffs of the Eyjafj\u00f6ll volcanic region, which were created thousands of years ago when the sea reached farther inland. The waterfall is formed by the Seljalands\u00e1 River, which originates from the Eyjafjallaj\u00f6kull glacier. With a height of about 60 m (197 ft), Seljalandsfoss is one of the most accessible waterfalls in Iceland and a frequent stop for travelers exploring the South Coast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The area around Seljalandsfoss also contains several smaller natural attractions. Nearby landscapes include green meadows, volcanic cliffs, and views toward the glaciers of the Eyjafj\u00f6ll region. The location is especially popular for photography because the waterfall faces west, which allows dramatic lighting conditions during sunset and in summer months when the midnight sun illuminates the surrounding cliffs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seljalandsfoss is easily reached by car from Reykjav\u00edk in about 1 hour 45 minutes via Route 1, with a designated parking area located just a few minutes\u2019 walk from the waterfall. Regular sightseeing tours along Iceland\u2019s South Coast also include Seljalandsfoss as a stop together with nearby attractions such as Sk\u00f3gafoss waterfall and the black sand beaches near V\u00edk.
