The Old City of Nesebar is one of the most picturesque and historically rich destinations on the Black Sea coast of Bulgaria. Located on a small rocky peninsula connected to the mainland by a narrow causeway, Nesebar is often called the \u201cPearl of the Black Sea.\u201d The site is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site due to its exceptional architectural and archaeological heritage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From Burgas Airport (Sarafovo), the most convenient option is a taxi, which takes about 25\u201330 minutes and costs roughly \u20ac25\u201335 depending on traffic and season. A more budget-friendly option is public transport: take bus \u211615 from the airport to Burgas central bus station, then transfer to bus \u211610 or \u21161 toward Nesebar or Sunny Beach. The total travel time is around 60\u201380 minutes, and tickets cost approximately \u20ac2\u20134.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From Burgas city, direct buses (\u211610 and \u21161) run frequently from the main bus station to Nesebar. The journey takes about 40\u201350 minutes and costs around \u20ac2\u20133. Buses usually stop near the entrance to the peninsula, from where it is a short 5\u201310 minute walk into the Old Town.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During summer, there is also a boat connection between Burgas and Nesebar, offering a scenic alternative across the Black Sea. Travel time is about 1 hour, and tickets typically cost \u20ac10\u201315.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The coastline around the peninsula offers beautiful sea views, especially at sunset, while the old windmill at the entrance to the town is a popular photo spot. Caf\u00e9s and restaurants serve traditional Bulgarian cuisine, often with terraces overlooking the water.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
