Acropolis of Athens is one of the world\u2019s most important archaeological sites and the ultimate symbol of ancient Greek culture. Rising above the modern city of Athens, the rocky hill has been inhabited since prehistoric times and became the religious and political center of ancient Athens during the 5th century BC. Standard entrance tickets to the Acropolis usually cost around \u20ac30 during the main tourist season, while reduced winter prices and discounted student tickets are often available. Combination passes may also include access to other archaeological sites in Athens. Because the area becomes extremely crowded during summer afternoons, early morning visits are highly recommended, especially during hot weather.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Acropolis is located in central Athens and is easily accessible by public transport. The nearest metro stations include Acropolis metro station and Monastiraki station, both within walking distance of the entrance. Travelers arriving from Athens International Airport can reach the city center by metro, bus, or taxi in approximately 40\u201360 minutes. The surrounding Plaka district also offers traditional restaurants, caf\u00e9s, and pedestrian streets ideal for exploring after visiting the ancient site.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
