One of the cathedral\u2019s most recognizable features is the golden statue of the Madonna, known as the Madonnina, which stands at the highest point of the main spire overlooking Milan. Entrance tickets vary depending on which sections visitors want to access. Basic cathedral entry usually costs around \u20ac10, while combined tickets including rooftop terraces, museum access, and archaeological areas generally range between \u20ac20 and \u20ac30. Elevators are available for rooftop access, although some stairs are still required. Booking tickets online in advance is highly recommended because the cathedral is one of Italy\u2019s most visited attractions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Duomo is located in the center of Milan at Piazza del Duomo and is directly connected to Duomo metro station. Travelers arriving from Milano Centrale railway station can reach the cathedral in about 10\u201315 minutes by metro. The surrounding area also includes shopping galleries, restaurants, museums, and historic streets, making it one of the busiest and most popular areas in Milan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
