Lugo is in the east of Galicia. It can be reached by train and bus from Santiago de Compostela, A Coru\u00f1a and Madrid. The old town is small, and the walls are easy to reach on foot from anywhere in the centre. Walking on the walls is free and possible at any time of day. The walls are lit at night, which is a nice time for a walk. Allow at least an hour for the full walk around the walls, and more time to explore the old town and taste the local Galician food.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
