Today, it forms one of the major museum complexes in Italy. The palace was constructed in the second half of the 15th century on the southern bank of the Arno River, opposite the historic city center. Access to the palace is typically via the Ponte Vecchio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The palace faces the Piazza dei Pitti, a spacious square in front of its main fa\u00e7ade. The ticket office is located in the right wing of the building. Compared to other major attractions in Florence, such as the Uffizi Gallery, Palazzo Pitti generally receives fewer visitors, resulting in shorter queues. Tickets can be purchased in advance online through the official website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Museum Complex<\/strong><br>Palazzo Pitti is not a single museum but a complex comprising several institutions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Palatine Gallery<\/strong> \u2013 featuring works by Raphael, Titian, Van Dyck, Rubens, and Botticelli.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Museum of Modern Art<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Museum of the History of Costumes<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Carriage Museum<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Medici Treasury<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Porcelain Museum<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Silver Museum<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Inner Chambers of the Palace<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The complex also includes the Boboli Gardens, located behind the palace. The gardens contain alleys, fountains, ponds, grottoes, and sculptures by notable artists. Visitors can also enjoy panoramic views of central Florence from the upper terraces. A combined ticket, valid for three days, provides access to both the museums and gardens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u53c2\u89c2\u4fe1\u606f<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The opening hours of the museums and gardens vary seasonally.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Most museums are closed on Mondays.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Buses 11 and 36 provide access from central Florence for those who prefer not to walk.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Historical Note<\/strong><br>In the mid-16th century, approximately 100 years after the palace\u2019s construction, the Vasari Corridor was built. This covered passage connected Palazzo Pitti with the Uffizi Gallery and Palazzo Vecchio, passing above the Ponte Vecchio. It allowed the Medici family to move safely between their residences and the government palace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Visitors to Florence are also encouraged to see other major museums, including the Uffizi Gallery and the Accademia Gallery.
