Riederalp<\/strong> is a Swiss ski resort located on a plateau in the Valais Alps at an altitude of around 2,000 meters. It is part of the Riederalp-Aletsch Arena, which also includes Bettmeralp and Fischeralp. The resort offers excellent conditions for both winter and summer recreation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Riederalp is a car-free village. To reach it, you first travel from Zurich to Brig (about 195 km, 2 hours by train or 3+ hours by car) and then take a cable car from Murel up to the resort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Winter Activities<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Riederalp is a popular winter destination with 35 lifts and over 250 km of ski trails of varying difficulty. Its plateau location allows for long, gentle descents suitable for beginners and intermediate skiers. A daily ski pass costs from CHF 53.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Summer Activities<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

In summer, Riederalp is ideal for hiking and enjoying panoramic views of the Valais Alps. Approximately 23 km from the village is the Aletsch Glacier, the largest glacier in the Alps and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. On the far side of the glacier lies the Jungfrau and the famous “Top of Europe” railway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Riederalp combines alpine beauty, extensive ski infrastructure, and proximity to natural landmarks, making it attractive year-round.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
