It is located on the European side of the city, on the shores of the Golden Horn, in the historic district of Emin\u00f6n\u00fc. The pier serves as a departure point for city ferries, sea buses, and tourist boats offering Bosphorus cruises.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Location and Accessibility<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The pier is situated close to the historic city center (Sultanahmet district). Traditional fish sandwiches (<em>bal\u0131k ekmek<\/em>), sold from boats anchored near the pier, are especially famous.
