The ceiling and walls are also covered in elaborate woodwork.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Architecture:<\/strong> Built in the early 20th century in Baroque Revival style as a men\u2019s club and casino for horse breeders, the building has only two floors with an attic. Its fa\u00e7ade features sculptures, though the exterior is relatively modest compared to the interior.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Historic Details:<\/strong> The building was fully electrified when constructed \u2013 a novelty for its time \u2013 but the lamps were cleverly disguised to look like kerosene lights.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Cinema and Culture:<\/strong> The staircase has appeared in films, including the Soviet classic <em>\u201cD\u2019Artagnan and the Three Musketeers\u201d<\/em>, where it served as Cardinal Richelieu\u2019s residence.
