Legoland Billund Resort in the small town of Billund in Jutland is the original Legoland: the park opened in 1968 right next to the headquarters of the LEGO company and was the first of the Legoland parks that now exist around the world.
More than 80 million LEGO bricks have been used across the park’s 11 themed areas, which have over 45 rides and attractions for families. The highlight is Miniland, where famous buildings and landscapes are recreated from around 20 million bricks, including a new section showing Copenhagen; the newest ride in 2026 is the Minifigure Speedway.
The park is open from spring until the end of the Halloween season at the beginning of November, usually from 10:00 to 17:00 and longer in summer. Day tickets cost from DKK 349 online. The resort also includes Hotel LEGOLAND, the LEGOLAND Castle Hotel and a holiday village; the LEGO House in the centre of Billund and the Lalandia water park are nearby, and Billund Airport is only a few minutes away.
