Sunrise Beach, Protaras is the largest beach in the Protaras resort area of Cyprus, stretching over 1 km along the village center.

• Primary name: Sunrise Beach (after the Sunrise Beach Hotel)
• Other names: Vrissi Bay Beach, Flamingo Beach

Beach Features

• Wide and long, less crowded than the nearby Fig Tree Bay.
• Golden sand, azure blue sea, and areas with gentle entry for children.
• Small rocky sections where fish can be seen.
• Water is warm and clear, reaching up to +30°C in summer.
• Waves are rare, and the depth starts about 20–30 meters from the shore.

• Promenade connects to neighboring villages; bus stops 101 and 102 go to Ayia Napa, Pernera, and Paralimni.

• Weekends can be crowded with locals, so early arrival (8–9 am) is recommended for free sunbeds.
• On weekdays, the beach is quieter, mostly with tourists from nearby hotels.
• Occasionally, algae may wash ashore, but the water usually clears by the next day.
