Best Nature Spots in Malta

Malta's nature is all about the sea and its limestone coast. Take a boat to Comino for the turquoise Blue Lagoon, or join a boat trip into the sea caves of the Blue Grotto on the south coast. On the north-west coast, Golden Bay and Għajn Tuffieħa (Riviera Beach) are wide sandy bays below the cliffs, and Għadira Bay near Mellieħa is Malta's largest sandy beach. In Valletta, the Upper Barrakka Gardens give the best view over the Grand Harbour. Spring and October–November are the most pleasant months; July and August are very hot.
