这 布达城堡缆车 (Budavári Sikló) is a historic cable railway in Budapest, Hungary. It connects the banks of the Danube River at Adam Clark Square with Buda Castle atop Castle Hill. The line covers a length of approximately 100 meters and overcomes a height difference of 48 meters in about 3 minutes.
历史
The funicular was opened in 1870, financed by Count Ödön Széchenyi. Originally powered by steam, it was later electrified, but the overall appearance of the vintage wooden carriages has remained largely unchanged for more than 150 years.
Route and Features
- 下站： Adam Clark Square, near the Széchenyi Chain Bridge and the entrance to the Buda Hill Tunnel.
- 上站： Adjacent to the Royal Palace and Buda Castle.
- The line has two cars operating in counterbalance, each making two intermediate stops.
- Several pedestrian bridges span the tracks, providing vantage points for photography.
Operations
The funicular operates daily from 07:30 to 22:00, with departures every 5–10 minutes.
Although the height difference is modest, the funicular remains a popular tourist attraction thanks to its historic character and scenic views of the Danube and Pest side of the city. Walking up Castle Hill is also possible for those who prefer not to wait in queues.
