Bergpark Wilhelmshöhe is the largest hillside park in Europe and one of Germany’s most spectacular cultural landscapes. The park is famous for its monumental scale and innovative hydraulic engineering. The gravity-powered water system, designed in the 17th and 18th centuries, remains one of the most impressive in Europe. The Hercules monument has become a symbol of Kassel and is visible from many kilometers away. Since 2013, it has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
