The Matterhorn Glacier Ride is one of the most advanced cable car systems in the Alps. It links the mountain village of Zermatt with Matterhorn Glacier Paradise, the highest cable car station in Europe. This system uses 3S cable technology, which combines large cabins, high wind stability, and long unsupported spans. It is designed for both tourism and access to ski and glacier areas.

The Matterhorn Glacier Ride forms the final and highest section of the mountain transport system above Zermatt.
