Seville Airport (SVQ) lies about 10 km from the centre, linked by a special airport bus in around 30 minutes, with Malaga a couple of hours away offering more flights. Spain's AVE high-speed trains reach Madrid in about 2.5 hours, and good services connect Cordoba and Malaga. In the city, a tram, buses and a bike-share scheme help, but the flat, compact historic centre is best explored on foot — just avoid the fierce midday heat in high summer.

Seville is affordable by Western European standards, busiest and dearest during Holy Week and the April fair. Expect roughly 70-150 EUR per night for a mid-range hotel, with hostels from about 18 EUR.
