Therme Erding is one of Europe’s largest thermal spa complexes, in Erding, Bavaria, about 36 km north-east of Munich and close to Munich Airport. Opened in 1999, it uses healing thermal water that rises from a depth of about 2.3 kilometres.
Under a large glass dome, the tropical Therme has warm thermal pools among palm trees and the Wave Lagoon with waves up to two metres high, and a new surf wave opened in the thermal garden in 2026. Galaxy, Europe’s largest water slide park, has 28 slides with a total length of 2,850 metres, including the Magic Eye, a 360-metre enclosed tube slide. The Vital Oasis and the textile-free Vital & Sauna area with its many saunas are reserved for guests aged 16 and over.
The thermal area is open Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 23:00, on Saturdays from 9:00 to midnight and on Sundays and Bavarian public holidays from 9:00 to 23:00, while Galaxy has shorter hours on weekdays. On weekdays a 2-hour ticket for the Therme, The Wave and Galaxy costs €25 and a day ticket €52; at weekends, on public holidays and in school holidays they cost €32 and €59. A day ticket for Vital & Sauna (16+) costs €62 on weekdays and €69 at weekends, and children up to 3 enter free.
