The Corso of Zundert takes place in the town of Zundert, in the province of North Brabant, Netherlands, near the Belgian border. The easiest way to reach the event is by car or by public transport via the nearby city of Breda, from where special buses operate during the festival. Parking areas are usually arranged within walking distance of the parade route.
This festival is the world’s largest flower parade built entirely with dahlias, with origins dating back to 1936. Each year, around 20 hamlet teams (buurtschappen) compete by building gigantic moving sculptures decorated exclusively with dahlias. These floats can reach impressive sizes and are constructed entirely by volunteers over several months. The event attracts tens of thousands of visitors each year, and since 2021 Dutch corso culture has been on UNESCO’s list of Intangible Cultural Heritage.
The parade traditionally takes place on the first Sunday of September, followed by a public exhibition of the floats on Monday. In 2026 it was held on 6–7 September; the next Corso Zundert takes place on Sunday 5 September 2027, with the exhibition on Monday 6 September.
Prices and Opening Hours
Access to the parade area requires a ticket. In 2026 entry to the parade cost €13 in presale or €16 at the gate, and the Monday exhibition €6 in presale or €7 at the gate; children aged 12 and under go free. Grandstand seats are sold separately and do not include entry.
The event usually starts in the morning with entertainment activities, while the main parade begins in the early afternoon (around 13:30) and continues for several hours. On the following day, the floats remain on display from the morning for visitors to explore up close.
