Poznań weather by season

Poznań in western Poland has one of the milder and drier climates in the country. Summers are warm at 24–25 °C from June to August, and winters are cold but rarely harsh, with highs of 3–6 °C and frequent light frost. Rain falls on only 8–12 days a month, and September is the driest month.

Good times for a trip

May to September is ideal for the colourful Old Market Square with its Renaissance town hall, where mechanical goats butt heads above the clock every day at noon. Late spring and early autumn bring 14–21 °C and fewer crowds, while December has a festive Christmas market on the square.

Under a roof in Poznań

When the weather turns, HistoryLand, a museum that tells Polish history in LEGO bricks, is a good choice for families, and the Croissant Museum explains the city’s famous St. Martin’s croissants. Poznań Cathedral on Ostrów Tumski is a short walk from the centre.
