Skara Sommarland is Scandinavia’s largest water park, combined with an amusement park, near Axvall, about 8 km east of Skara in Västra Götaland, Sweden. It belongs to the Parks and Resorts group, together with Gröna Lund, Kolmården and Furuvik, and is a classic summer destination for families.
The water park has 13 attractions, from the Vortex tube slide and the steep Waka Waka slide (minimum height 120 cm) to Pirate Island for younger children, with pools and sunbathing areas between them.
The amusement park, called Tivoli, adds 21 more attractions, including the Snake roller coaster, carousels and rides for children, and there are go-kart tracks as well. Restaurants, kiosks and picnic areas are spread around the park, and you can stay overnight at the park’s own campsite.
Skara Sommarland has a short summer season, usually from early June to mid-August. Day tickets for the 2026 season cost SEK 499 online for both adults and children in the high season, children under 1 metre enter free, and season passes are also available.
