Alanya weather on the Turkish Riviera
Alanya sits on a rocky peninsula between long sandy beaches and the Taurus Mountains, and it has one of the mildest winters on the Turkish coast. January days still reach about 14 °C and nights rarely fall below 8 °C, though December and January bring rain on 12–14 days. Summer is long, hot and humid: from July to September afternoons reach 30–32 °C and nights stay around 22–24 °C.
Beaches from May to October
Cleopatra Beach in the centre, Keykubat to the east and the quieter sands of İncekum and Avsallar to the west are busiest from June to September, when there is almost no rain. May and October, with 25–26 °C and fewer crowds, are ideal for climbing to Alanya Castle or walking along the harbour to the Red Tower.

When the heat or a shower drives you indoors, Damlataş Cave right by Cleopatra Beach keeps a steady, humid warmth all year and is known for its stalactites. The mild winters attract long-stay visitors from northern Europe, and sunny breaks between the rain are common even in January.
