The Jerusalem Arab Market, also known as the Arab Souk, is a large marketplace located on the border between the Christian and Muslim quarters of the Old City of Jerusalem. The market begins near the Jaffa Gate, a primary entry point for visitors to the historical center, and extends towards the Damascus Gate and Via Dolorosa. It lies along the main routes leading to significant religious and historical sites, including the Temple Mount, the Western Wall, and the Church of the Holy Sepulcher.

The market does not have a dedicated building. Instead, it occupies the streets of the Old City, with merchants’ shops lining the streets on both sides. A wide range of goods is sold, including souvenirs, ceramics, jewelry, hookahs, textiles, spices, sweets, fresh juices, food, clothing, carpets, and other consumer products.

The market is open daily from morning until late evening, except on Fridays, when most shops are closed. During the summer, some stores may close temporarily during the hottest hours. Produce such as fruits and vegetables is particularly available near the Damascus Gate area.

Haggling is a common practice, and prices are generally similar to other tourist-oriented markets in Israel. Visitors are advised to compare prices and negotiate.

The market is not only a commercial center but also a cultural site, reflecting the traditional urban layout and daily life of the Old City. It is frequented by both locals and tourists and forms an integral part of the historic urban landscape of Jerusalem.
