柏林大教堂

柏林大教堂 (Berliner Dom) is the largest Protestant church in Germany. It is located on Museum Island, in the historic center of Berlin.

The current cathedral was completed in 1905 in a Neo-Renaissance style. During the Second World War, the building suffered severe damage, and full restoration was carried out only in the 1990s.

The cathedral faces Lustgarten Park, a popular public space where visitors often gather to photograph the façade. With a height of 98 meters, Berlin Cathedral remains the tallest building in the Museum Island area and can be seen from many points across central Berlin.

The cathedral serves both as a place of worship and as a major tourist attraction. Visitors can attend services in the evening, while general admission costs €10 (as of 2024). Entry during church services is free of charge.

One of the highlights of a visit is climbing to the dome, which offers panoramic views over central Berlin. The cathedral is also included in many sightseeing routes, including tours on Berlin’s yellow double-decker buses.
