Beach Spiaggia di Maiori is located in the town of Maiori on the famous Amalfi Coast in southern Italy. Unlike many other beaches along the Amalfi Coast, which are small and surrounded by steep cliffs, Maiori is known for having one of the longest beaches in the entire region.

The beach lies directly in front of the town’s promenade and is framed by green hills and Mediterranean vegetation. From the shoreline visitors can admire the colorful houses of Maiori climbing up the hillside and enjoy open views across the deep blue waters of the Tyrrhenian Sea.

Spiaggia di Maiori stretches for nearly one kilometer, making it significantly larger than most beaches on the Amalfi Coast. The beach is covered with dark golden sand mixed with small pebbles, creating a comfortable surface for sunbathing and walking. The sea here is typically clear and calm, with gentle waves and a gradual entry into the water. Because of these conditions, the beach is particularly popular with families and swimmers who prefer a more spacious and accessible beach environment compared to the smaller coves nearby.

Facilities and Beach Clubs

Most of the shoreline in Maiori is organized with private beach clubs (lidos) that provide full services for visitors. At the same time, there are also public areas where visitors can place their own towels. Because the beach is located directly in the center of Maiori, restaurants, cafés, and shops are only a short walk away.

Sea temperatures in this part of the Tyrrhenian Sea become comfortable for swimming during late spring and remain warm through early autumn. In summer the water typically reaches 24–27°C in July and August.
