Riederalp is a Swiss ski resort located on a plateau in the Valais Alps at an altitude of around 2,000 meters. It is part of the Riederalp-Aletsch Arena, which also includes Bettmeralp and Fischeralp. The resort offers excellent conditions for both winter and summer recreation.

Riederalp is a car-free village. To reach it, you first travel from Zurich to Brig (about 195 km, 2 hours by train or 3+ hours by car) and then take a cable car from Murel up to the resort.
Winter Activities
Riederalp is a popular winter destination with 35 lifts and over 250 km of ski trails of varying difficulty. Its plateau location allows for long, gentle descents suitable for beginners and intermediate skiers. A daily ski pass costs from CHF 53.
Summer Activities
In summer, Riederalp is ideal for hiking and enjoying panoramic views of the Valais Alps. Approximately 23 km from the village is the Aletsch Glacier, the largest glacier in the Alps and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. On the far side of the glacier lies the Jungfrau and the famous “Top of Europe” railway.
Riederalp combines alpine beauty, extensive ski infrastructure, and proximity to natural landmarks, making it attractive year-round.
