Pontcysyllte Aqueduct is one of the most impressive canal structures in Europe and a major landmark of industrial history in Northeast Wales. Built from cast iron and stone, the structure stretches more than 300 meters in length and rises about 38 meters above the River Dee, making it the highest navigable aqueduct in Britain.
