Mountains & Ski Resorts in Switzerland

In winter, Zermatt below the Matterhorn, Davos, Riederalp above the Aletsch Glacier and the small village of Rosswald are ski resorts, and the Matterhorn Glacier Ride climbs to the high glacier area above Zermatt. From June to September the same places become bases for hiking and panoramas: ride the Jungfrau Railway, the steep Pilatus cogwheel line or the cable car up the Schilthorn, or take the gentle way to Rigi, the 'Queen of the Mountains'. The snow table below shows today's snow depth from the nearest SLF station and the usual snow season at each place.
