PortAventura World near Salou on the Costa Daurada, about an hour south of Barcelona, is one of the most visited resorts in Europe. It opened in 1995 and today includes three parks, PortAventura Park, Ferrari Land and Caribe Aquatic Park, as well as several themed hotels.
PortAventura Park is divided into six themed areas: Mediterrània, Polynesia, China, Mexico, Far West and SésamoAventura for younger children. Its best-known rides include Shambhala, one of the tallest and fastest roller coasters in Europe, Dragon Khan with its eight inversions, the launched coaster Furius Baco and the Hurakan Condor drop tower.
Ferrari Land, opened in 2017, is dedicated to Ferrari and motor racing. Its centrepiece is Red Force, which at 112 metres is one of the tallest roller coasters in the world and accelerates from 0 to 180 km/h in about five seconds. Caribe Aquatic Park is a tropical-themed water park with slides and wave pools, open in summer.
The 2026 season runs from 28 February 2026 to 6 January 2027. A one-day adult ticket for PortAventura Park costs €42–51 online or €52–61 at the ticket office, depending on the date, and combined tickets with Ferrari Land are also available. Trains from Barcelona stop at Salou–PortAventura station, a short walk from the resort.
