Karaalioğlu Park is a large public park on the clifftop in the centre of Antalya, just south of the old town of Kaleiçi. It stretches along the edge of the cliffs above the Gulf of Antalya and is easy to reach on foot from Kaleiçi or by tram.
At the park’s northern corner, next to Kaleiçi, stands the Hıdırlık Tower, a Roman tower from the 2nd century AD that overlooks the old harbour. Shady paths, flower beds and viewpoints line the cliffs, with views across the bay to the Beydağları mountains that are especially beautiful at sunset, and several cafés and tea gardens invite you to take a break.
The park is also home to several sculptures and monuments, including a monument to the poet Nâzım Hikmet (2010), a Don Quixote statue and the Worker and Son monument by Mehmet Aksoy. Entry is free.
