Akmerkez shopping center Istanbul

Akmerkez is a shopping centre in Etiler, an upmarket residential and business area of the Beşiktaş district on the European side of Istanbul. It opened in 1993 as one of the city’s first modern malls, together with an office tower and a residential tower rising above it, and in 1995 the International Council of Shopping Centers named it the best shopping centre in Europe.

Akmerkez is known for international fashion and premium brands rather than budget chains, and it also has restaurants, cafés and a food court. The atrium regularly hosts exhibitions and seasonal events.

The mall is open daily from 10:00 to 22:00. The nearest metro station is Nispetiye on the M6 line, which runs from Levent (M2); from MetroCity and the Kanyon mall in Levent it is also about a 20-minute walk.
