这 Lower Düden Waterfall (Aşağı Düden Şelalesi) is a major natural attraction in Antalya, Turkey, where the Düden River cascades directly into the Mediterranean Sea from a height of about 40–45 meters. The waterfall is one of the city’s most iconic landmarks and is visible even from airplanes approaching Antalya Airport.

Geography

The Düden River originates about 30 km north of Antalya in the Taurus Mountains. It features two main waterfalls: the Upper Düden Waterfall, located inland and accessible with an entrance fee, and the Lower Düden Waterfall, which flows directly into the sea within the city limits. The latter is situated in the Fener, Muratpaşa district, near the resort area of Lara, about 8 km from Antalya’s historic Kaleiçi quarter.

Visitors can reach the waterfall by several means:

• Taxi or private car.
• Guided city tours, often including a stop at the falls.
• Public transport: bus line KL08 connects the city center with the site.
• Boat trips from Kaleiçi Harbor, offering the most scenic views from the sea. These excursions typically last two hours, with a stop near the waterfall for photos.
• Walking or cycling from central Antalya or Lara, following coastal parks and paths.

Düden Park

At the top of the cliffs, surrounding the point where the river meets the sea, lies Düden Park. The park features landscaped gardens, walking paths, artificial cascades, restaurants, cafés, and multiple viewing platforms overlooking the waterfall and the Mediterranean. Admission to the park is free.

Features

In sunny weather, the mist from the falls often creates a rainbow. At night, the Lower Düden Waterfall is illuminated with spotlights, making it a popular destination for both daytime and evening visits.
