Taste of Paris is one of the most famous gastronomy festivals in France. It celebrates the best of Parisian cuisine and brings together top chefs, restaurants, producers, and food lovers for several days of tastings, culinary shows, and gourmet experiences. The event is considered a major highlight of the culinary calendar in Paris and attracts thousands of visitors every year.
The festival is usually held once a year in spring, typically in May. It lasts four days and takes place in one of the most iconic venues in Paris — the Grand Palais, located in the 8th arrondissement near the Champs-Élysées. The 10th edition ran from 21 to 24 May 2026 with more than 80 chefs and about 50 artisans and producers; the next one is expected in May 2027 (dates not yet announced). During these days the Grand Palais is transformed into a huge culinary space where visitors can explore French gastronomy and international cuisine.
Taste of Paris offers many activities for food lovers and professionals alike. Visitors can enjoy:
- Signature dishes from famous restaurants – More than 20 top restaurants from Paris usually participate in the festival. Each restaurant prepares small tasting portions of their most popular dishes so visitors can try many different foods in one place.
- Meetings with famous chefs – The festival invites renowned chefs, Michelin-starred chefs, and rising culinary talents. Guests can watch them cook live, learn about their techniques, and sometimes even meet them in person.
- Cooking demonstrations and workshops
- Gourmet food market – The festival also hosts a large artisan food market where producers sell high-quality products such as cheese, charcuterie, caviar, olive oil, smoked salmon, jams, wines, and other delicacies.
- Wine and drink tastings – In addition to food, guests can taste fine wines, champagne, cocktails, and other beverages, making the festival a full gastronomic experience.
Ticket prices vary depending on the type of access. In 2026 a dated Découverte ticket started at €25, VIP tickets (Premier, Prestige or Taste Tables) at €65 and an undated VIP Freedom ticket at €70. Each day is split into a lunch and a dinner session. It is important to note that the entrance ticket only covers admission to the festival; the tasting dishes prepared by the participating restaurants are paid for separately, allowing visitors to try a variety of gourmet dishes during the event.
